My Dog ate a whole large nylabone in about 10 minutes! DIARRHEA!!!?

My Dog ate a whole large nylabone in about 10 minutes! DIARRHEA!!!?

OK, so here’s the scoop. my husband and I picked out some new “toys” for our Puppy on Friday as we will be bringing home another puppy soon we wanted to have a large variety of things for them to play with… I had picked out a large nylon non edible nyla bone particularly for puppies. My husband did not like the particular one I picked up and wanted to get smaller flavored ones… he was not aware that there are nylabones that are EDIBLE!!! I didn’t even look at the nylabone he picked thinking he’d just picked up a smaller version of what I had, but no it was 2 bones… 1 bacon flavored edible and 1 chicken flavored edible for large dogs up to 35 pounds… mind you, our puppy is about 15 pounds right now. So we got home and my husband pulls out the bacon flavored bone as I am getting our 3 year old dressed and ready for bed and reading books. He comes into her room to switch spots with me… lay down tell her goodnight, the usual routine and i walked to the living room as my part in the putting to bed was done and I saw that he had the entire end of the bone in his mouth and the middle stem and other end of the bone were no where to be found. Apparently he wasn’t being supervised with this bone while I was reading etc…. He had consumed the entire LARGE sized bone in a matter of less than 10 minutes. I took 3 days for it to catch up with him but now he has crazy diarrhea… he is on a rice and chicken diet with only sips of water given at a time per the advice of the vet. I am very worried about him. There is no blood in the stool but of all the things I have read online about dogs eating nylabones, i am worried. he is only 15 pounds ( a husky- will grow fast and big) and is only 3 months old. The vet wants to see him tomorrow if it continues through to tomorrow but because the bone id “digestible” they don’t seem to be worried about that… well I am, what if he swallowed a large piece and it is lodged somewhere or who knows what. I feel like I have a sick kid and I can’t do anything for him. he doesn’t want to drink his water and is tired of rice… to the point of not eating now other that a couple bites when offered because he wants his food. What should I do with him the rest of the day and is the vet right to not be concerned because these things are “digestable.” Sorry for typing errors… gotta get the ? in quick as possible and get to work, will look for your answers soon. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.
PS—> He is getting small amounts of water vrey regularly because if he drinks too much at once it was just all come out. He is getting plenty of water

PPS—> he just had a negative stool sample last week.
